The Nurse Practice Act requirement for registered nurses to achieve 20 hours of Continuing Education (CE) per two year will begin with the 2010-2012 RN licensure renewal cycle. Beginning June 1, 2010, IL RN's will have until May 31, 2010 to accumulate 20 CE hours to maintain IL RN licensure. See attached resources for more information.
